Riverside Residence

A reconfiguration of an early 1990 remodel was the design objective for this project. An existing narrow island will be removed and the Kitchen work zone is designed to have the Oven/Cooktop, Sink and Refrigerator in close proximity, but with adequate space for more than one cook . A separate area will include a drawer style microwave with ample counter space, and an additional workstation is designated for coffee and beverage service. A built in seating bench along the outside wall, coupled with a small freestanding table, will provide the requested casual seating within the Kitchen footprint. An existing pocket door will be removed and the opening will be widened to create a more natural flow between the Kitchen and adjacent Dining Room.
