A mid-20th century raised ranch, in the Margaret Mitchell neighborhood of Atlanta will undergoing an extensive remodel. The heart of the home will be a new Kitchen relocated to the existing Family Room. The existing Kitchen and Laundry will be expanded into an oversized existing Garage to become the new Great Room. A seldom used existing Living Room will be converted into a Bedroom, Guest Bath and Hall closet. The existing Dining Room, Breakfast Nook and Wet Bar are being reconfigured into an Office, Laundry, Kitchen Pantry and Mudroom. A small existing Master Bath is being expanded into an adjacent existing Bedroom to become a full Ensuite that will include a double vanity, a large walk-in shower and a freestanding bathtub. The remainder of the former Bedroom will be a new walk-in closet.

To promote sustainable design, all construction is within the footprint of the existing residence. Materials and finishes are being reviewed to confirm their recycled content and inclusion of eco-friendly components. Construction is in progress and will be completed in Spring 2023.
